Digi Doc 2012

My Digi Doc 2012 poster

Another year another brilliant DigiDoc conference, this time in Edinburgh. My poster and accompanying animation teasers went down really well – looking forward to showcasing the final finished film soon!

Really enjoyed all the presentations, especially the opening talk on the making of Brave by Gordon Cameron from Disney and Pixar, oh that hair! Dr Louise Leakey gave a wonderful presentation on her paleoanthropological work in human origins at the Turkana Basin Institute. For anyone who was at last years DigiDoc in Glasgow Greg Downing’s presentation this year was just as spectacular. Last year he had showcased a series of ‘extreme resolution’ photographs from Yosemite, and this year he showed us their work on a macro scale with beautiful images of insects really really close up!

Oh, and you’ll all be pleased to know that my ceilidh dancing remains legendary 😀 …though this year at the ripe old age of 25 I may have come close to dislocating a shoulder! Worth it.
